Politics, constitution and administrative structure of Germany

Germany is located in central Europe. Its official name is the Federal Republic of Germany. The capital of Germany is Berlin, but some ministries are located in Bonn. The country owns the North-Frisian and East Frisian islands, and the Federation includes Helgoland, Dune and Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea. If we consider the form of government, Germany is a parliamentary federative republic. Under the law of the Federation, the power of the president is extremely limited. He or she, in fact, participates only in the organization of various ceremonies and events. The President is elected for 5 years. That’s the person who is authorized to represent the country at the international level and to sign acts on pardon of criminals. All other reins of government are in the hands of the Federal Chancellor of Germany or, in other words, the Prime Minister.

The president has the power to represent a suitable candidate for the country's supreme chancellor. In case if the parliament does not want to approve the nominated candidate by the president for any reasons, the ruler has the right to dissolve both chambers at the legislative level. The same actions of the president are permissible if the parliament does not want to agree and continue to work with the already appointed acting chancellor. The legislative branch consists of a bicameral parliament. Its upper house is the Bundesrat. It has power to approve the laws passed. The Upper Chamber is formed of representatives of individual lands in an amount directly proportional to the number of people in certain regions. Thanks to this, Germany stands out among the whole European Union, as a country in which all the rights and norms of citizens are fully observed.

The Lower Chamber is Bundestag Federal Government. It is headed by the Federal Chancellor. The chamber also includes all heads of relevant ministries, and deputies who are elected for a period of four years. The lower house deals with all the main issues in the field of international relations and defense. The lower chamber is fully engaged in settling and solving all existing problems and issues related to financial and communication spheres. In the Federal Republic, there are only 16 lands that are considered separate federal subjects. Each of the lands has the right to build its own concept of development and external relations, as well as the bodies of internal self-government. All Federal lands are divided into communities within which a certain communal structure operates. Due to the fact that the financial development base is defined and formed in each subject separately, all conflict situations are resolved very quickly. In different regions, the tax system and the structure of budget can differ. Every German land has the right to create its own law and allocate its own authority. However, all regions develop in one common direction and rhythm, as prescribed by the parliament. The highest judicial instance in the Federation is the Federal Constitutional Court. Both chambers of the parliament have a right to elect eight judges to the board. Each of them is appointed as a judge for twelve years. The Supreme Court is engaged, as a rule, by checking the decisions of other courts and resolving disputable constitutional issues.

The constitutional court even can disband a particular party. However, this is possible only in case when it was proved that the party pursues goals that will outstrip the entire state system of the country, as well as infringe the basic aspects of the functioning democracy. The highest structures of justice in Germany also include the Labor Court, the administrative court in Leipzig, the public and financial court. All Federal Courts, as a rule, are engaged in verification and resolving issues related to the formal legality of land decisions. The current Constitution in Germany was adopted in 1949. Over time, some articles were canceled or partially amended. The control over the monetary situation of the Federation is maintained by the Central Bank. Since the creation of the European Union on 1.01.1999, the Central Bank of Germany is fully subordinate to the Central European Bank.
