Darmstadt is rich in historical, architectural and natural attractions, offering its guests an excellent excursion program. Any excursion program must include a visit to the Darmstadt Artists' Colony. This is an old village located on the Matilda Hill founded in the late 19th century. It was home to artists who lived and worked here, the first exhibition took place in 1901. The first buildings presented to the audience was in the Art Nouveau style.
