The town was founded by the Romans yet in 12 BC. During its long history this town was destroyed several times, however, each time it was rebuilt again.
While staying in Bonn, you will surely see the remains of the fort wall right in the center of the city. Once this was a wonderful Sterntor tower that was built in 1244.
