Hotel W

From the series “Glass Architecture - Impressive Villas and Buildings from Glass”
Hotel W in Barcelona is a good example of modern glass architecture. Luxurious hotel was built in 2009. It stands in 7 hectares of land reclaimed from the sea surface in the construction of the new entrance to the harbour. Nowadays it is one of the most picturesque areas of the city. The five-star hotel has great floor-to-ceiling windows. Prices there are quite high because of the location and the inner decoration. The top part of the building resembles an inflated sail. That’s why the most expensive rooms are on the top floors.

The roof is turned into a wonderful seating area. There has placed an open swimming pool and great places for sunbathing. During the day you can spend time there. In the warm period, the restaurant put some tables on the roof. This is the best place for a … Read all

Notwithstanding all these restrictions, specialists from Coll-Barreu Arquitectos agency made something unbelievable. They built a unique construction that doesn’t have analogues in the whole world. The wonderful glass building is situated on the beautiful historical street that was built in the 19th century. The unique seven-stored building is taken by … Read all
