The wonderful Church of San Salvatore de' Birecto was built in the 10th century and has undergone one of the largest renovations in the heyday of the Baroque style. An equally interesting religious monument is the Church of the Immaculate Conception located nearby. It is quite small but keeps some unique historical artifacts within its walls Inside, you can see an ancient altar made of rare marble, as well as ancient Roman urns, which were once used to store water.
One of the most revered religious monuments among locals is the Collegiate Church of St Mary Magdalene, which bears the name of the main patroness of the city. It was built in 1274 on the ruins of an ancient destroyed fortress. The first major reconstruction of the church took place in the second half of the 16th century. The church is famous for its variety of beautiful sculptures and paintings. Some of the artworks presented here are more than 500 years old. You will have a chance to see historic murals and an ancient ceiling decorated with artistic tiles. The facade of the medieval church is the only example of Rococo architecture on the Amalfi coast. Another interesting historic monument is the Church of San Michele Arcangelo located near Atrani. The construction of the church took place in the 11th-12th centuries on very difficult mountainous terrain. Initially, there was a cemetery on the site of the church. That's why it was built outside the city walls. One of the most massive burials took place here in 1656 when a plague epidemic hit the city. The historic cemetery remained functioning until 1927 when burials stopped here. The old church is also famous for its amazing artistic decoration and Baroque altar. Next to the altar, there is a staircase leading to a small chapel, which is the oldest surviving part of the church.
If you like exploring historical sites, be sure to visit the fortress Torre dello Ziro located in the vicinity of the city. The exact date of its construction is still unknown, but the first official mention of it dates back to the 15th century. The castle was built on the ruins of even older defensive structures, which were located here in the early Middle Ages. Some of the surviving fragments of the ancient fortress can be seen today. The fortress is shrouded in many interesting stories and legends, which you will surely hear during the tour. According to the legends, a lot of brutal murders took place in the castle, and locals believe that ghosts live within the walls of the old castle.

A vivid historical monument of the early 17th century is the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel whose main feature is an original Moorish-style bell tower. The interior of the church is made in the best traditions of the Baroque style. Skillful 15th-century frescoes are considered its main decoration.
One of Atrani's most unusual attractions is Masaniello Cave. According to legend, one of the local Christian preachers was hiding from persecution in this cave. You will also have the opportunity to visit the historic Church of Santa Maria del Bando that was built over a thousand years ago. Preferred to Open 9 New Hotels in 2022

In September 2022, the Sommerro hotel in Oslo will start operating in a carefully restored 1930s Art Deco building. This building is a true landmark of Frogner, a historic neighborhood of the Norwegian capital. A multi-million-dollar renovation carefully turned the largest preservation project in Norway into a modern hotel with 231 rooms, including 56 residences.
