Praia is a sandy beach situated near the town centre in front of the harbour. It is always crowded with people, so your child can meet new friends here and practice his language skills. You can rent a boat near Cala Rotonda and explore local grottos. The beaches of Marettimo Island are famous not only by their beauty but also for mysterious grottos. Scientists believe that ancient people used the grottos for their purposes. Moreover, there are many ruins of peculiar prehistorical buildings.

Levanzo will amaze young speleologists because of the whole system of caves and tunnels that permeate most of the island. However, you can dive on nice clean beaches here or climb Pizzo dei Monaco hill which is 278 meters high. It provides amazing views of the island. You can take your child to the tuna reprocessing factory on Favignana built by Florio family in the 17th century. The factory had innovative and modern equipment for those times. The factory itself is a popular tourist attraction on Favignana. There are many mechanisms of the past times. Furthermore, different exhibitions are held in the building of the factory. There are also several windmills, a factory of salt production and ruins of Roman fortifications close to Marettimo. Though, you can not only explore historical sites here. Take your child to the place of the second Punic war and enjoy diving here. Admire the stunning views of Le isole di Favignana on a joint bike ride.
