Livorno is a city in Italy located on Ligurian Coast. This is the most important port of Italy.

You can reach numerous resorts from Livorno by water. All resorts feature well-developed infrastructure with numerous beaches, cafes, restaurants, clubs and discos. Here visitors can enjoy tennis, horse riding, mountain biking, mini-golf, sailing, surfing, water skiing and much more.

The tourists will find much interesting in observing old and new fortresses and visiting New Venice quarter that features numerous canals, amazing bridges, narrow streets and beautiful living houses built yet in the beginning of XVII century.

Four Moors monument is one of the symbols of this city. It consists of a pedestal, on which is located the sculpture of Ferdinand I Medici. Below the pedestal are located 4 statues made of bronze. The statues picture pirates who are bound by a chain.

Livorno Cathedral was built in XVI century by the project of Pieron. The cathedral has been built in honor of Saint Francisco. Later side chapels have been added to the church.

Church of Saint Ferdinando was built in 1707-1716. This is a wonderful example of the baroque style. If you go inside the church, you will see a sculpture featuring Giovanni Baratta giving freedom to slaves.

Besides the mentioned objects there are many numerous churches in Livorno. The most interesting of them are Armenian Church of Saint Gregory, a Greek Church, Anglican Church of Saint Giorgio, Jewish synagogue, Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Protestant Church, and Evangelist Church.
