1. It’s better to exchange currency in one of banks; they serve clients from 9 am until 4 - 5 pm. In the afternoon lunch break is possible. Some larger hotels have their own exchange centers, but there a rather large fee is charged for service.
2. Vacationers shouldn’t go alone to explore remote areas of towns; it’s much better to do that with a guide and tourist companies. On the main streets, on the contrary, you can stroll even late at night. They are always crowded, many entertainment and shopping complexes close very late at night.
3. In public places it is necessary to watch your stuff closely. Don’t leave bags unattended. In shopping centers and markets pickpockets are working, so it's better not to take documents and other valuables, if they aren’t necessary.
4. Tourists, who expect to visit religious sites, have to bring some outdoor clothing with long sleeves with them. Entry to the temples and churches in short skirts and shorts is prohibited.
6. It is recommended to rent cars only in big cities and use services of proven companies. The most popular is Hertz. It’s better not to use small organizations that offer rental at a very low price.
7. Smokers should pay attention to the existence of prohibition signs. Smoking in public places is prohibited. There are special areas for smokers close to shopping centers, restaurants, and government agencies; for violation of these rules large monetary fines are charged.
