Vacation on Galicia beaches - hidden bays, top resorts and recreation areas

Area Major resort area is situated in the very heart of Galicia. This scenic area is widely known for its vast sand beaches, which are never crowded. Tourists can take sun baths and watch landscapes, as Louro mountain is located not too far from the shore and amazing sand dunes provide an excellent view. Nature enthusiasts are recommended to visit the fabulous Medido beach. Located in the natural reserve, it is one of the few white-sand beaches in Galicia. It's a good choice, if you have kids, as there is calm and warm sea there. Vacationers may leave hot beach at any moment to explore unique natural point of interest.

Figueiras beach is also situated in the reserve area. It's highly recommended to nature and diving fans; it has been popular among snorkeling fans for many years. Despite its attractiveness, this beach is never busy, even in high season.

Playa de las Catedrales is unique for its natural cliffs and caverns. It is inaccessible during high tide, but in low tide it's an excellent place for walks and water entertainment. Torimbia – Niembro beach is amongst the most popular and busiest in Galicia. It is worth to wake up early, if you want to take a place on this beach. The famous Marivi seafood restaurant is located in the Torimbia – Niembro area too.

Solitary Barayo beach is also worth mentioning. It is located next to city of Vigo and is enclosed with lush grasslands. Playa del Silencio beach is situated in small bay surrounded with high cliffs. This scenic beach is considered the quietest in the area.
