A lot of interesting landmarks can be found in La Coruna that is often called the ‘city of contrasts.’ It is the oldest city in the region; however, its attractive modern look is simply amazing. It features the old Roman lighthouse and several beautiful churches in the Romanesque style; the Museum of Fine Arts never ceases to attract connoisseurs of art. While walking around the city, vacationers can see a lot of beautiful old buildings next to impressive monuments of modern architecture.
Fans of scenic walks have to visit the city of Vigo; it is the largest fishing port in the region. Foreign visitors would be fond of the historic center with its medieval buildings. Roman walls housing a lot of interesting sights can be called the main symbol of Lugo. One of the most beautiful buildings in the city is the Cathedral; this unique religious monument has managed to survive to the present day in its original form.
Two important religious monuments, the incomparable Iglesia de la Virgen Peregrina and the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Mayor, are situated in Pontevedera. Tui is famous because of its old cathedral featuring a nice patio. Currently it is open to the public, so absolutely everyone can appreciate the beauty of the old building.
