1. Affordable accommodation in Meribel is represented by traditional Alpine chalets and apartments. They are perfect for families and large groups of friends but can be very expensive for independent tourists.
2. The high season for Meribel is February when many ski slopes are heavily overloaded. For beginners and those who prefer uncrowded places, it is better to visit the ski resort in December or early March.
3. The nearest international airport is located a hundred kilometers away from the resort. Buses to Meribel depart regularly from Chambéry, Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva airports.
4. Local ski trails become comfortable for skiing in the first half of December. The holiday season in Meribel lasts until April, however, the choice of ski pistes in spring is not as wide as in winter.
6. Tourists are not obliged to have all sports equipment they might need, as there are many rental points in Meribel. Rental of ski equipment for 6 days will cost about 140-180 euros.

10. It's not the best idea to go to Meribel by private car. This travel option will be relevant only in summer months. In winter, many highways are blocked due to frequent snowfalls and avalanches.
11. The price level in local hotels reaches its peak in the second half of February. You will pat much less even during the Christmas holidays, and the cheapest months are December and April.
12. Some chalets and apartments have special reservation rules. They can only be rented for the period from Saturday to Saturday or from Sunday to Sunday.
13. It would be interesting to visit the resort in summer, when prices for chalets and apartments are at the most affordable level. It won't be possible to ski in summer - the main activities will be hiking and exploring the natural beauties of the region.
