Mallorca is the island that is the part of the Balearic archipelago. Mallorca is its main island, as well as one of the most prestigious, popular and eco-friendly resorts of the Mediterranean Sea. The main recreation areas of the island are the Cala Mayor (Illetas) Arenal (Can-Pastilla), and Palma Nova (Magaluf). If you seek calm and quiet bays, you may like Santa Ponsa, Andraks and Paguera. On the territory of Mallorca are located small villages that carefully keep their historical legacy – Valldemossa, mostly famous for the ancient Carthusian monastery; the medieval town named Alcudia, which is still surrounded by thick fort walls; and Felanitx with its large vine terraces. The underground world of Mallorca can be seen in two caves of the island named Drach and Hama.
