Hoteliers uncovered the most unusual requests of guests in 2020
The past year was one of the most difficult for hotels around the world in history, they received a critically low number of guests. Nevertheless, even among those few travelers who had a chance to use the services of hotels last year, there were clients with very original requests.
The Mirror discovered the most unusual requests that hoteliers had to face in the past year. A married couple with a child, upon checking into one of the hotels, asked to install an extra bed in the room, but not at all for the boy, but for his imaginary friend. When the family checked into the hotel, the staff were also asked to formally greet Frank - the virtual boy for whom the extra bed was intended.
Many hotels provide clients with services for organizing weddings and celebrations. In preparation for the wedding banquet, guests of one of the hotels asked the employees for an additional refrigerator, in which they had to keep butterflies for organizing the celebration. Some of the requests were very curious, one of the spouses who arrived at the hotel with his wife, secretly asked the hotel staff to resettle them with his wife in different rooms. The man said that he really wants to sleep, and asked to explain to his wife that living in separate rooms is necessary to comply with the norms of social distance.
Hotel staff face many unusual requests when preparing for major celebrations. This year, one of the hotels had a need to look for a large refrigerator for a guest, in which he wanted to keep the ice unicorn sculpture prepared for decorating the banquet. The sculpture was 6 feet high.
Guests who chose one of the Bonnybridge hotels turned to the hotel staff with a very original request. They asked to tell them about the places in the city and suburban areas where UFOs are most often observed. One of the guests asked for additional lamps to be brought to his room to entertain himself on a long winter evening. According to the comments of the guest himself, with their help he wanted to arrange the northern lights.
In one of the UK hotels, located near a major airport, the guest asked the staff to arrange a transfer for him directly to the runway. As he explained, such a service would allow him to sleep longer. Not only in Great Britain hotelliers have to deal with original requests, such curiosities happen absolutely everywhere.
