This is a centuries-old city with rich history. The main difference of Puerto de la Cruz from the neighboring resorts is in the fact it was not intentionally created for tourists. It is home to many local residents, so guests have the opportunity to learn more about lives of the local people and learn new information about their culture.

Playa Jardin Beach is one of the main attractions of the resort. The sand here is black because of its volcanic origin. A unique combination of black sand, sparkling in the sun, waves and rich greenery gives the impression of magical mirage. Not far away there is another wonder of nature - a waterfall, which water splashes can be watched for a long time.
Puerto de la Cruz is surely rich in historical monuments. You should definitely make a walk through the main square, Charco, where is located a statue depicting the Virgin Mary. San Felipe Castle is one of the oldest architectural places of interest of the city. Miranda House is, probably, the most famous modern institution. The most popular gift shop of the city is opened in it. However, all art lovers should visit Abaco House, which stores a collection of Museum of Architecture.

Nuestra Senora de la Pena-de-France Church is one of the most beautiful religious buildings of the city. The oldest botanical garden in the world is also located in Puerto de la Cruz. It was opened in 1788 and here visitors can see more than a thousand types of trees and plants. El Sausal village is the location of the oldest wine store. It is situated next to Museum of Wine and, of course, a tasting room and a great restaurant wait for their visitors. Music lovers should visit the biggest concert hall Fiesta Canaria, which conducts amazingly beautiful shows and concerts. Lovers of nightlife will also not be bored, because this city has many discos, nightclubs and casinos to fit any taste.
