Jordan Removes Mandatory Quarantine for Tourists

News The world map of countries suitable for tourism now has one more addition – the Kingdom of Jordan. It now allows passengers arriving in Jordan not to endure the self-quarantine process at a hotel. However, a valid negative PCR test is still required to enter the country. Note that this test must be made within 72 hours of arrival.

Tourists are required to make one more test already at the airport in Jordan. All passengers aged 5 and older are required to take this test. The service is paid by the arriving tourists. At the moment, the COVID-19 test costs 28 JOD, which is roughly 33 euro. The result is delivered from 2 to 5 hours after the test. Tourists, who get a positive result, are subject to quarantine.

When the test results are ready, tourists with a negative result can enjoy their journey in Jordan, and tourists with a positive result will be delivered to the office of the Ministry of Health, which is open at the airport. After that, a safe departure from the airport to one of the local COVID hospitals is arranged for the infected people for the purpose of receiving the anti-virus treatment. Tourists who do not have Jordanian citizenship will receive hospital treatment on a paid basis.

If you like sightseeing, ruins of the great civilizations of the past, and unique landmarks, it might be a great time to visit Jordan now and enjoy the country’s treasures without the usual hordes of tourists. There are hotels in Amman of different categories, and a big number of luxury Amman hotels opened in recent years. Enjoying the breathtaking views of Wadi Rum with a few other fellow tourists can easily become one of the most mesmerizing memories. Charming accommodations and delicious local cuisine only add to the guest satisfaction and make them want to stay longer in this hospitable country.

Although Jordan is not a mainstream destination yet, the country slowly turns into a premier vacation choice. There has been a rise in the number of upscale hotels in Aqaba, Petra, and near the Dead Sea. The Kingdom of Jordan is suitable for both hard-to-please tourists seeking exclusive 5-star service and backpackers who prefer modest accommodation and focus on authentic experiences. Today, many hotels offer special discounts for tourists, so it is worth checking out this destination as well.
