IHG Brings its Voco Hotel Brand to The Hague

News IHG’s premium hotel brand, Voco Hotels and Resorts, finally has a presence in the Netherlands. Travelers are now welcome to book the voco hotel in The Hague and enjoy prime location and exceptional service. Located in the Royal Quarter, the new hotel is an ideal choice for everyone who wants to indulge in shopping, sightseeing, and nightlife. The embassy quarter within walking distance makes voco The Hague a sought-after choice for business guests too.

The hotel is open in a former bank building that dates back to 1923. To make the building suitable for a luxury hotel, the former bank underwent a complete transformation. The hotel has 204 rooms with elegant design, which are located on the 7 floors of the building. It is very simple to reach the new hotel in The Hague from the Central Station – the tram ride lasts only ten minutes. A ride to the seaside lasts only a bit longer – nearly 15 minutes.

Upon entering the hotel, guests immediately see a large atrium with lots of greenery. The design of the atrium is in line with the hotel’s concept, which is staying close to nature. This is a true green oasis that beautifully adorns a charming butterfly installation. This is a 143-meter 3D installation that is projected on the atrium’s ceiling. Thousands of metal butterflies lead guests to an enchanting garden. The Garden Terrace is a wonderful place to chill and relax.

Each voco hotel has a unique welcome treat that guests receive upon arrival. The treat is connected with the history or heritage of the place where the hotel is open. For The Hague hotel, it was decided to pick Borstplaat as the welcome treat. This is one of the oldest desserts in the Netherlands that originates in the 17th century.

The dining options deserve a separate mention. The Botanica Kitchen Bar & Lounge has 80% of its menu dedicated to vegetable dishes. It mostly uses fresh local ingredients. Grilled vegetable platters cooked in a Josper charcoal oven are among the signature dishes of the Botanica Kitchen. Ultramarijn Wonderbar serves breakfast in the morning and delicious and authentic food in the evening. Don’t forget to try interesting cocktails inspired by Dutch Sea explorations. The new hotel on the Kneuterdijk is a worthy addition to The Hague, a famous travel destination and home to many international organizations.
