A Hotel in London City Airport Greets Its First Guests
Starting from this month, travelers who use London City Airport have a place to relax or meet other people with comfort as the first Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Central London has opened its doors. The 184-room property is the closest one to London City Airport. It offers comfortable lounges and a range of drinks and foods that guests can always order before the flight.
The Courtyard London City Airport hotel offers all signature features of the brand including a Grab and Go market, on-site Starbucks coffee, a modern business center fully equipped for business travelers’ needs, several meeting rooms with large floor-to-ceiling windows, and an all-day kitchen and bar. Moreover, the hotel is located only five minutes away from the airport.
Before the opening of the new hotel, travelers at London City Airport had a limited number of options to choose from. The terminal has several food and beverage spots, and travelers need to choose between only two offsite lounges. There were plans to redevelop the airport but those plans are currently on hold until 2023, so the newly opened hotel in London City Airport provides the much-needed alternative. As the hotel’s comfortable lounge area is close to the check-in terminal, travelers can work or relax and then swiftly move to the airport without any fear of getting late for the flight.
It doesn’t matter whether travelers are searching for a place to meet, work or relax, they can be sure that Marriott will provide them with the best service, high standards of cleanliness, and comfort. London City Airport is a key gateway for business guests. This winter, the airport offers flights to 21 destinations mostly in Europe and within the UK. This autumn, the airport resumed flights to key European cities including Zurich, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berlin, Rotterdam, Salzburg, Chambery, Frankfurt, and Prague.
The new hotel officially opened on November 8, 2021. The property is managed by Cycas Hospitality. Marriott didn’t have a hotel opening in the Docklands since 2014. This makes the Courtyard London City Airport hotel the first full-service property by the famous hotelier in the area.
