Nobu Will Open a Hotel in Hamburg

Nobu Hospitality, a luxury hotel company with roots in fine dining, will add one more property to its portfolio. Founded by star chef Nobu Matsushita, Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper, Nobu will soon open a hotel in Hamburg, Germany. For this project, Nobu partnered with SIGNA Real Estate, a famous developer that is behind the Elbtower project. The new Nobu hotel and restaurant will be located in this large mixed-use space, which is recognized as the tallest in the city.

Elbtower is an exceptional place. This is not only the tallest skyscraper in Hamburg but also in entire Northern Germany. The skyscraper is a perfect choice for the first Nobu hotel in Hamburg as Elbtower will house prestigious office spaces, and the hotel’s exclusive fine dining is matching this place. This is the first project of SIGNA and Nobu but the companies plan to continue their partnership.

The 245-meter tall skyscraper over the River Elbe was designed by David Chipperfield Architects. The building’s eye-catching curved façade will be easily recognizable on the city’s skyline. Elbtower has a strategic location close to the prestigious HafenCity district. Home to innovative hubs and offices of large companies, Elbtower wants to target itself as one of the best places in Hamburg for working, eating, shopping, sleeping, and having fun. Besides the office spaces and hotel mentioned above, the skyscraper will also feature numerous shops and restaurants. SIGNA has vast experience in building such exclusive properties in major European cities.

Once open, the Nobu Hotel Elbtower Hamburg will have 191 large and comfortable guest rooms and suites. A centerpiece of every Nobu hotel, the hotel’s signature restaurant will have 200 seats and a stylish bar with a terrace. The bar is a great place to enjoy exclusive drinks and picturesque views of the River Elbe. There will also be a modern fitness center and a wellness club at the hotel.

The Nobu restaurant in Hamburg will offer both public dining places and private rooms for guests seeking intimacy. For corporate meetings and events, the hotel offers a special outdoor terrace. The local community can also benefit from the new hotel – Nobu will launch a special private members club with a designated lounge area, special food and beverage sessions. Members of the club will be able to visit fitness and wellness centers, and even participate in exclusive events.
