The must-see is the Local History Museum of Feodosia. Its collection started being formed at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1811, the Museum of Antiques was opened in the city. Its exhibits have become a core of the collection of the future local history museum. Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky contributed much to the museum development. The first separate building was built at his expense. Consequently, the museum has changed its location several times, as its collection has been rapidly broadened. Today, it occupies the beautiful estate built in the period between the 19th and 20th centuries.
