In the North American city, you can find wonderful religious sites like St. Mary of the Cataract R.C. Parish built in the middle of the 19th century. This one features an original architecture, which attracts many tourists. However, its interior decoration is no less remarkable and certainly worth appreciating. The church’s spire was erected in such a way as to be equal in height to Niagara Falls. Magnificent fountains and statues can be seen in front of the shrine. Another outstanding church is the First Presbyterian Church built in 1849 and expanded in subsequent years (1879, 1904, and 1921). Architects inspired by the Gothic Revival wanted to create a wonderful jewel of this style - and they succeeded.

A peculiar attraction is the Schoellkopf Power Station built in 1853 and later expanded two times - in 1898 and 1924. In 1956, a disaster happened - two stations (3c and 3b) collapsed into the Niagara River, thus destroying two-thirds of the station and six generators. Only 3A station was used until 1962 (at partial capacity) and eventually demolished in the same year. Today you can see the remains of the former greatness of the engineering structure. Fans of industrial photography consider this spot to be their favorite in Niagara.
