One of the most beautiful buildings in the city is the skyscraper called Heritage Plaza built in 1984. It is 232 m in height. The skyscraper had been built for about 3 years. One of the most recognizable religious monuments in Houston is the Rothko Chapel that started to be projected in 1964. The chapel was built completely in 1971. Another interesting architectural monument is the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. This mansion was built in 1928. Its first owners were the Hogg Brothers. In the first half of the 20th century, about 4 700 historical artifacts and pieces of art were presented in the mansion. In 1957, the brothers gave their collection to the local Art Museum. For the first time, the museum welcomed guests in 1966. The main attribute of the excursion is strolling along the garden surrounding the museum.
