This multinational state is very interesting from a cultural point of view; traditions and customs of Colorado are embodied in amazing national holidays. The state is home to many Scots. Annually, in mid-August, Colorado Scottish Festival takes place; it includes traditional games of mountaineers. Highland Games are one of the most interesting and old national traditions; they have been set in Scotland in the 11th century.

Surprisingly, this spectacular event is incredibly popular even in America. Festival guests can watch different Scottish clans competing in strength and agility, in performing national music and dancing. In addition to the beautiful Scottish festival, Colorado is famous for its wine festivals. One of them is held annually in Denver; Wine Festival begins in late October and usually lasts for three days. Old campus is the site for another unusual national holiday; every year, the so-called Chatfield corn maze is constructed at the local botanical garden. The maze is built of 12-foot corn stalks; each year its design changes. Usually this corn construction can be seen from early September to late October. The maze has become one of the main symbols of Denver; all those interested could stroll through it. Every year the corn maze puzzle becomes more complex and interesting.

Colorado hosts a large number of music festivals too; several times a year the state is visited by famous jazz performers. Arts festivals also become increasingly popular.
