hotel is also an important historical landmark. This hotel is open in a unique building of an old monastery. The historic building was constructed by Jesuit monks, and for many years, a female monastery was open there. At the beginning of the 20th century, the historic building was used as the secret police headquarters. Several years ago, it was decided to convert the building into a modern hotel. Remarkably, the structure of the building has almost not changed. The hotel still has old arcs, beautiful wooden décor, and high ceilings that create a truly inimitable atmosphere.

The history of the luxurious Pachtuv Palace
Art Deco Imperial
stands out of hundreds of hotels in Prague. The hotel was built in 1914. The project was developed by prominent Czech architect Jaroslav Benedikt. Jan Kolář was the first owner of the hotel – at the beginning of the 20th century, he owned several luxurious hotels in Prague. During its long history, the legendary hotel greeted many famous guests, but they are not the only “advantage” of the iconic place. Traditional Prague doughnuts, kobliha, served in the old café of the hotel, have already become an unchangeable symbol of the hotel. It is believed that a tradition to throw yesterday’s kobliha into acquaintances appeared in Art Deco Imperial. Locals eat only freshly made doughnuts.
