Durdle Door, Great Britain

From series “Incredible Natural Arches Built by Water and Wind”
Beautiful Durdle Door arch is located in Dorset County, England. This is an incredibly harmonious limestone formation. The landmark is located on the Jurassic Coast and resembles a fantastic gate into another dimension. The rock in which the coastal arch has been formed is very thin, which makes the formation even more unique. Next to the Durdle-Door Arch there is an incredibly beautiful beach with small pebbles, it will be an ideal place for romantic walks and a relaxing holiday.

Durdle Door, Great Britain The name of the arch is very interesting and comes from the Old English word 'thirl', which is literally translated as 'hole after a shot', and from the word 'door' that means 'the door'. For tourists exciting excursions on the coast are regularly carried out. Travellers can walk along the paths over the coast and view the cliffs pouring into the sea from all sides.

You can go down to the coast by a narrow steep staircase. It has to be mentioned that excellent beaches available for recreation are situated on both sides of the rock. On the coast there is another secret attraction, known to a few experienced tourists. If you walk along the coastline in the direction opposite to Durdle-Door, you can see another cliff hanging into the sea with a small arch. The picturesque coastline with the beautiful natural arch is an ideal place for relaxing in summer, as well as a great place for hiking. Next - Rainbow Bridge
