The most unforgettable walk in Istanbul will be at the embankment of the Bosphorus. Along this embankment you will see the most important religious and historical landmarks. Among them there is a wonderful Dolmabahçe Mosque. It was built by Karabet Balyan in the middle of the 19th century. This mosque is a bright example of the baroque style. It is also known as the most decorated mosque in the world.

Bosporus Waterfront, Turkey Two more outstanding landmarks are located near the mosque. The Dolmabahçe Palace and Dolmabahçe clock tower were built in the second half of the 19th century. Thanks to that the visitors can eat in the wonderful atmosphere right at the embankment. Walking at the promenade you can go till Kabatas berth. Every day from this place ferries go to the Kızıl Adalar Islands.

The Hekimoğlu Ali Pasha’s fountain also has to be emphasized among the other outstanding landmarks, located at the embankment. It was built in 1732. It is rather big and doesn’t look like the modern fountains. Those who like to relax in the picturesque places will like the nearby Fındıklı Park. There you will see not only spreading trees but also wonderful sculptures. The park is one of the coziest places at the embankment.
