3. Travelers planning to use taxi services are recommended to specify the price with the driver in advance. 6. Travelers, who plan to buy local carpets, must keep the labels and sales receipts. If they fail to do that, they might be not allowed to export their carpets. The same rule applies to antiquities that can be exported only in case they come with a special certificate.
7. It is better to visit the city’s markets with local currency only. Some sellers might accept foreign currencies, but they will surely apply a low exchange rate. So, it is better to exchange the money in a bank or a private exchange office. These exchange offices are located on all main streets, in shopping centers, and popular shops.
8. There are no limitations regarding clothes in the city. The majority of Yerevan residents wear typical European clothes daily. However, wearing too extravagant outfit on the street or at an important event may cause misunderstanding.

9. The most beneficial way to make international phone calls is to use special phone booths as they usually have the cheapest rate. These booths, as a rule, accept coins and plastic cards.
