A trip with children to Finland is convenient, safe, exciting and informative. In Tampere, guests are received by the “Moomin Valley Museum”, a fairy-tale museum where an amazing multimedia program has been prepared for children of different ages. It is decorated in the spirit of the Mayan civilization. There is a family slide inside of it, along which you can go down together with your child. For children there is a swimming pool with small descents and geysers. The water park “Eden” in Tampere is noted for its variety of pools, among which are unusual bubbling water bodies. Two water parks are working simultaneously in Turku: “Karibia” and “Yukupark”. In the first one, you can visit an outdoor pool with underwater grottos or ride along a hundred-meter pipe. In the second, the game zone “Pirate Island” is functional. Here children can take part in exciting sea adventures.

The Saimaa Canal links Finland and Russia. In contrast to its modest origins, the canal has been a world famous object for over a 150 years. The idea to build a canal that would connect Lake Saimaa with the Gulf of Finland appeared in the 16th century, but the construction work had been deferred for an indefinite period.

Only in 1845 the ambitious project was launched. Its official opening took place11 years later and happened to fall on the day of the Emperor Alexander II. The canal has a length of 57300 metres. Since the opening it has been used for passenger and cargo transportations. Tours on the canal are very popular with modern travellers. It takes 4 to 5 hours to cross the waterway.
