Burgos Cathedral is also a prime example of Gothic architecture. It was built in the 13th century. It remains in all its glory until now. Many modern experts note that this cathedral is a building very well planned from an architectural point of view. Its facade is decorated with many small details. Unique Gothic elements in the exterior are harmoniously combined with elements in the Renaissance style. This cathedral is the only one in Spain, the world value of which was officially recognized in 1984.
Famous sculptors and architects worked on the design of the Burgos Cathedral. You can admire their masterpieces even today. One of the main decorations is the statues of the 12 apostles. Almost all the elements of the interior design are also made in the Gothic style. You can see spectacular sculptures of knights and angels in addition to the typical religious frescoes and sculptures in it. You will also have the opportunity to admire the heraldic symbols of various eras. The tombs of many prominent historical figures and saints including Pedro Fernandez de Velasco, as well as the 2nd count are located in the cathedral.
