Google's headquarters is one of the few office centers in the world that has its unique name. Googleplex is a beautiful, modern building located in the mountain view, Silicon Valley. The name of this chic office center is derived from two words – "Google" and "complex". Four buildings form the basis of this complex. They were built in 1997. These buildings were originally owned by Silicon Graphics.
Google decided to lease these buildings due to the expansion of its staff in 2003. It acquired them for $319 million in 2006. The company's Google logos adorn chic buildings with panoramic windows today. The building owes much of its spectacular appearance to the panoramic windows. The surrounding area is no less interesting than the modern buildings themselves. Each small plot of land is occupied by landscape decorations. You can see a lot of exotic plants while walking around the office.
