Freud Museum in London, UK

From series “Houses of Famous People and Stars Currently Open to Tourists”
Year: 1986.

One of the most visited sights in London is the Haus-Museum Siegmund Freud, where the famous psychoanalyst lived with his family after moving from Austria in 1938. Freud's friends and acquaintances knew about his interest in ancient artifacts, which he collected for life. When moving, the collection of antiques was the most important thing he had taken first. Today, visitors to the remarkable House Museum can enjoy the valuable historical exhibits.

Freud Museum in London, UK The beautiful estate belonged to the Freud family until 1982; This year his younger daughter Anna has died. In addition to the valuable collection of antiques, the museum preserves the old couch, on which the customers of the psychoanalyst set up. The antiquarian furniture taken from Austria is also of great value. In the house is presented the rich collection of paintings and old photographs. Some rooms look like the rooms of the real archaeological museum.

The old stone slabs with unusual hieroglyphs, the stoneware and ceramics, the shards of the tools of primitive man and the collection of the beautiful old jars - the antiques collected by the excellent doctor form a truly unique collection. The museum was opened 4 years after the death of its last owner, Since then, the furnishings in the house remain invariable. The old garden next to the house, for which the doctor and his daughter personally catered, is equally worth seeing. In the garden are growing the rare varieties of roses and forest, as well as the wonderful almond and plum trees. Next - Teatro-Museo Dali
