Throughout its long history, the castle has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. After the destruction by an earthquake in the 1970s, the building has never been renovated. The castle is not available to the public for safety reasons due to its bad condition. However, views from the hill on which it stands are as magnificent as the castle itself.
