Marrakech is a city located in the heart of Morocco. This is one of its most important cultural centers. It was founded in 1062 by Yusuf ibn Tashfin, who was the representative of the Almoravids dynasty. The most beautiful religious monument in the city is the Koutoubia Mosque. Its minaret is 77 meters high. This minaret is the tallest building in the city. The most interesting cultural institution of Marrakesh is located within the walls of the Dar Menebhi Palace. A few years ago the City Museum was opened in it.
