The beautiful Chateau de Chaumont-sur-Loire is located on the banks of the Loire River. It attracts travelers with its well-preserved architecture and wonderful surrounding landscapes. The exterior of the building is an amazing combination of Renaissance and romantic style. An old English garden has been preserved on the grounds of the castle. You can see majestic trees nearby. Chateau de Chaumont-sur-Loire, France The first wooden castle was built on the site of Chateau de Chaumont-sur-Loire in the 10th century. It was in the possession of the d'Amboise family for more than 400 years. This noble family fell out of favor with King Louis XI in the middle of the 15th century. Their ancestral estate was destroyed by his order. The monarch ordered the construction of a new castle in the future. But the stone was the main building material at this time.

Catherine de Medici was the owner of the fortress in the 16th century. Preserved Queen's chambers are considered to be one of the main attractions today.
