Nokia Road Sign, United Kingdom

From series “Creative and Incredible Advertising Constructions”
The unique advertising design was created a few years ago in London, not far from Tower Bridge. Here was placed the greatest signpost in the world, created with the support of Nokia society. The weight of the advertising design was 60 tons, with the help of the Hebekrane it was suspended at the height of 50 meters.

The signpost, which at first sight is characterized by its impressive size, still has a distinctive feature. This was followed by the telephone number to which all interested parties could send SMS with the name of the object of interest. After some time after sending the message, the name of the object and the distance to it were shown on the light box, and the tower crane directed the signpost in the necessary direction.

In the course of two weeks, while the signpost adorned one of the central streets of London, his work was sent 24/7 on the official website of Nokia. Users were able to check the navigation maps free of charge, appreciate the new Ovi facilities and try to control the signposts through the website. The advertising of the new navigation services presented by the company Nokia was known in only two weeks world-wide, not only by the residents of London, but also by the guests of the British capital. Top destination around Nokia Road Sign - London

You can visit a place considered very unusual for a European city, that is, the temple of Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. The sacred place amazes with its splendor thanks to its size. This is not a historic temple. It was built only in 1995, but, despite this, it remains very impressive. For those who are addicted to “spy things”, a visit to the MI6 Building awaits them. Of course it will not be possible to get inside, but it is quite possible to look at the building where the fate of mankind was sometimes determined (and is still being determined). All that happened at 85 Albert Embankment.

London’s highest building is called The Shard or the Shard of Glass. It is definitely worth looking at by every tourist. Its futuristic image perfectly fits into London in spite of the abundance of historic buildings around the attraction and the protests of many people. Buckingham Palace, another permanent symbol of Byron’s and Mary Shelley’s hometown, is definitely worth a quick glance. It is especially interesting to look at the Changing of the Guard. Of the other palaces, one should pay a visit to Kensington Palace. This is another residence of the kings and queens, in which the most popular British ruler, Victoria, was born. Take an interest in St. James’s Palace as well, because it was built in the place of a lepers’ hospital by order of Henry VIII.
