Russia has a lot of wonderful lakes, one of them is Zyuratkul’ Lake. It has placed 754 m above sea level. The lake is a rare mountainous body of water for the Urals. The maximum depth of the lake is about 12 meters, the surface area is 13,5 km2. The lake is one of the clearest in the world, notwithstanding that, its water isn’t clear at all. The water has rather muddy tea color because many streams originate in marshes.
The nearby territory is famous for its natural and historical objects. Scientists found there several important archaeological areas. There were found work tools of prehistoric men and a huge geoglyph. Zyuratkul’ Lake was the holy landmark for locals. A lot of interesting legends and superstitions are connected with it.
Old Believers had their rituals in the forests, situated on the banks of the lake, several hundred years ago. Walking there you can see unusual wooden monuments. Zyuratkul’ National Park has perfect conditions for the relaxation. The Park has several equipped zones for camping. In warm seasons travelers have an opportunity to stay for a number of days in these picturesque places. Excursions are also available for travelers. Walking with the guide in the Park you can see the most significant natural landmarks and unique historical districts.
