The beginning of the second summer month is marked by the Jameos Music Festival, which involves concerts of eminent musicians. Among its headliners, one can see many interesting and famous names. The venue is the picturesque Jameos del Agua Park adding some charm to the festival. Particular attention is paid to jazz, although you can listen to other genres at the festival: rock, electronic music, R’n’B. In addition to the musical program, visitors can have a great time tasting local dishes and participating in master classes - all to ensure that tourists remember their holidays on Lanzarote for a lifetime.
On January 6, Dia De Los Reyes is traditionally held in all the major cities of the island. During this holiday, a colorful parade is led by Balthazar, Caspar and Melchior, the three wise men. They, in turn, scatter sweets to the crowd, which the youngest visitors to the festival are very happy about. Among other religious holidays that might be of interest to vacationers in Lanzarote, it is worth highlighting The Feast of Corpus Christi in mid-June, Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores (September 15), and Fiesta de San Gines (August 15). Christmas (Navidad) traditionally celebrated on December 25 and involving wonderful family events in its program is also very popular among tourists. Another widely celebrated holiday with colorful processions and a gastronomic program is Dia de Canarias on May 30.
