Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo

» Tokyo Sky Tree is another TV tower in Tokyo; its height is 634 meters.
» This building is the tallest TV tower of the world and the second tallest building in the world after Burj Khalifa.
» With regard to the architectural features of the tower, it should be noted that it’s equipped with a special system that compensates up to 50% power tremors caused by earthquakes.
» Tokyo Sky Tree is mainly used for digital broadcasting, mobile telephony and navigation systems.

Roppongi Hills, Tokyo

» Roppongi Hills is the largest and the most famous shopping and entertainment complex in the heart of Tokyo. It houses the famous observation deck offering panoramic view of the city.
» Roppongi Hills has a large number of restaurants, cafes, shops, a cinema and a hotel.
» The building of the shopping mall was opened in 2003 and became a symbol of the power of Japanese high-tech industry.
» The building houses offices of major IT companies such as Rakuten, Livedoor, and Yahoo.
» Near Roppongi Hills there are statues of 10-meter high spider and 8-meter scarlet rose.

Nippon Budokan, Tokyo

» Nippon Budokan is the closed arena, built in 1964 for the judo competition of the XVIII Olympic Games. Its name literally translates as ‘martial arts hall’.
» The building has octagonal shape; its height is 42 meters and capacity is more than 14,000 people.
» This sports arena regularly hosts rock concerts.
» In 1996, The Beatles, becoming the first foreign band playing a concert here, has performed at Nippon Budokan.
» Nippon Budokan arena annually hosts national championships of numerous martial arts in Japan.

National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo

» The National Museum of Nature and Science is able to depict the evolution of living organisms on Earth, ecosystems, and modern technology.
» All museum visitors have an opportunity to conduct interactive science experiments.
» The museum has two galleries, the Global gallery devoted to the planet in general, and the Japanese gallery. Galleries are located in different buildings.
» The museum is of six floors, where visitors can independently carry out experiments in physics and interactively study the life of the forest. Rooftop Global Gallery is a garden with about 160 species of herbs used by man and umbrellas opening automatically, when people are approaching.
»  The building of the Japanese gallery has a 3D-cinema with a viewing angle of 360 degrees.

Meiji Shrine, Tokyo

» Meiji Shrine is the largest in Tokyo Shinto shrine dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and his wife Empress Shoken.
» This sanctuary is the typical example of unique Japanese temple architecture. Cypress was used for construction of the temple.
» The temple is surrounded by the garden that embraces all kinds of trees and shrubs that grow in Japan.
» The shrine has the museum and the treasury, which holds a variety of items dating back to the reign of the emperor's family.
» Meiji Jingu Outer Garden, known as the center of Japanese sports, is in one kilometer from the Inner Gaden. At the end of the alley there is the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery containing 80 large murals illustrating events in life of the emperor and his wife.
