A few centuries ago the observatory served as the main research platform for scientists. Sun and moon movements were studied with the help of weird constructions made of brick and stone. According to one of the theories the observatory was equipped at Sawai Jai Singh II dictation. The king was known to be interested in astronomy studying. One of the most beautiful architectural landmarks is the Lakshmi Narayan Temple which was established in 1938 on demand of local aristocracy.
