British architects played a great role in creating the look of New Delhi. In the capital of India wherever you drives, you are likely to get to the India Gate. On that pace takes place the memorial devoted to the people, died during WW I. Just right at Janpath takes place a great number of hotels; you may also find there some interesting buildings. The embassy and various museums (including the National Museum and the Nehru Museum) are located nearby. This city is a developed business center with lots of offices around. Every morning hundreds of people go to the city center to do their job. There is also an expanded apartment section there. At the same time Old Delhi creates an opposite impression: things are humming, people are hurrying. Sometimes it creates an impression that the locals just have no time for sleeping – they have more important things to do.
Nowadays everybody, coming to Delhi faces with the confrontation of the old style and new ideas. One of the most vivid examples is the Main Bazaar. Thee you can be offered a good accommodation, entertainment facilities, all necessary conveniences and posh clubs, but at the same time there are lots of poor people in the streets and always rushing rickshaws.
