New Delhi is a city that simply strikes visitors by its unique color and wonderful atmosphere of hospitality. The streets of the city are a unique combination of ancient palaces and modern buildings, bringing New Delhi its special charm.
The central part of the city is decorated by Rashtrapati Bhavan Palace, which was built in 1929. Today it is the residence of the President and one of the most spectacular buildings of the 20th century. Not far away from this place there is one more modern architectural monument - the Houses of Parliament Sansad Bhavan. Its unusual shape makes the central part of the city even more mysterious. One of the most important religious places of interest is Birla Mandir temple, a building of great beauty.
Among the historical monuments we should mention Humayun's Tomb, which was founded in honor of the most famous and revered emperor of Delhi. The mausoleum is the location of his tomb, which has strikingly luxurious interior. While walking down the street Ashoka Road, you can go to another famous temple which is called Bangla Gurudvara. The temple is decorated with amazing golden cupolas; the shrine is open for visitors representing all religions of the world.
Fans of shopping should go to the town called Gurgoan, which is located near New Delhi. Here you can find most modern shopping centers and largest markets, that simple amaze by a variety of goods offered. New Delhi is also famous for its nightlife. The most popular night club of the city is called "Turquoise Cottage", and so here often perform famous musical groups and are held exciting programs.
