Pamukkale is one of the most famous natural sights of Turkey. This is a complicated complex of thermal springs and incredibly beautiful terraces of water basins formed by travertines. The local mineral sources contain a lot of calcium, which is why the natural basins are snow-white and the water sky-blue. Together, the harmonious mineral formations and the natural basins form a wonderfully beautiful Pamukkale complex that thousands of tourists visit annually.
The name of the natural complex is translated from Turkish as 'The Cotton Castle'. Pamukkale is open to visitors; In some pools you can even bathe. The only rule that the visitors of the complex must consider - the territory of the complex with the shoes not to enter. The mineral layers are quite brittle, so you should be very careful on the travertines. A part of the complex is closed for the visit. The tourists can graze on it from the special lookout platforms.
