Museum of Snowflakes, Japan

From series “Strange, Weird and Unusual Museums Amusing its Visitors”
One is accustomed to see the old paintings, the archaeological artefacts and the other antiques among the museum expositions. A very original collection is presented in one of the Japanese museums, which is located on the island of Hokkaido. Its main features are the snowflakes. Certainly, the museum founders were unable to preserve the fragile nature, which consists of 95% air, so they decided to show the photos of the most beautiful and unusual snowflakes to the visitors.

The founder of the unique museum is the scientist Nakaya Ukitiro. He remarks that the opportunity to make the good photos of such a brittle and fine material has arisen relatively recently. Before even the employees of the large scientific centers could only dream of the qualitative recordings of the tiny snowflakes. The location of the unusual museum is just as original as its exposure. His rooms were furnished in the snow caves. It is quite cold in the museum rooms, so visitors should take warm clothes regardless of the season.

The founder of the museum, Nakaya Ukitiro, spent several years studying one of the most remarkable natural formations - the incredibly beautiful snowflakes. He has classified them and has demonstrated the special properties. When visiting the exhibition, the museum visitors can learn about the most important discoveries of the scientist. In addition to the exhibition rooms, the concert hall was arranged in the caves, where the well-known artists perform regularly. This hall has the unique acoustics, so the guests have a nice opportunity - to visit the most interesting collection of photos and to visit the unforgettable concert. Next - Museum of Hair
