St. Sava Cathedral, Serbia The cathedral looks very outstanding. It was built in a classical Byzantine style. Some people tend to compare St. Sava Cathedral with the St. Sophia Cathedral (Constantinople). Since the building, the cathedral continues to astonish with its sizes. Its length is 91 meters and width are 81 meters. The church’s diameter is 35 meters, its high is 65 meters. The inner decoration of the cathedral is also unique. This place is a harmony of Classicism and Baroque styles.

The iconostasis is one of the most interesting objects in the cathedral. It is decorated not with the traditional icons, with the outstanding art paintings with Bible episodes. The main hall is decorated with a large candelabra in the medieval style. There were used a lot of gild during the decoration. Not so far from the cathedral has placed one more popular place for believers – Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church. In its walls has placed a great museum of the history of Orthodox Church.
