Many hold the summit of Mount Everests for the most difficult to reach place on earth, which is also a landmark of the world. The highest mountain of the planet, which is located on the border of Nepal and China, has the height of 8 848 meters. Only the few experienced and courageous mountaineers can conquer the mountain. The first successful ascent to Everest summit took place in 1953. To date, less than 4,000 people have managed to conquer the high summit.
The enormous height and the incredibly rough climate have made Everest one of the most hard-to-reach places on earth. At night the air temperature on the top of the mountain often falls below - 60 degrees Celsius, and the wind speed in the mountain range can reach 55 m / s. According to the statistical data, every tenth person who tries to conquer Everest comes around. In the mountain districts of Everest the bodies of about 300 dead were found.
The dilution of the air substantially complicates the ascent process. The mountaineers must use the oxygen equipment. Usually the ascent to Everest takes about two months. This speed can not be accelerated, since acclimatization is very important for experienced athletes. The strong wind and frost, the extremely low oxygen concentration and the precipitous rock walls - and to mention only a few obstacles that must be overcome during the ascent to Everest.
