The journey to the Mexican city of Chihuahua is still a way to visit the difficult to reach underground sights. Here is the cave of crystals (Cueva de los Cristales). This is the largest cave on Earth and was discovered very recently, in the year 2000. The unique subterranean sight was discovered by the ordinary miners who have encountered a cave with the huge and incredibly beautiful crystals during the mine.
The visit of the cave is not so easy despite the proximity to the cities. It is very hot in the cave. The air temperature in it forms almost 60 degrees Celsius. With care that the humidity in the cave often reaches 99%, the unprepared man can remain in it for a few minutes without special equipment.
The striking peculiarity of the strange cave are the huge crystals, next to which man looks very tiny. The presence of these incredible mineral formations is partly due to the peculiar climate within the cave. The length of the largest discovered crystal is about 11 meters, and the width - 4 meters. Since the discovery, the cave has attracted the numerous biologists who are trying to find the old microorganisms in the crystals
