Searching for open roof cars

Preset configuration of the white form above - search for an exotic car or a cabriolet at 'Molde - Airport'. Address: Airport Service Location, Molde, 6416, Norway.

In Molde, we provide vehicles at 2 different rental locations. Cars with a folding roof are rather of a rare type, so they are mostly offered in airports and railway stations.

We advise booking a cabriolet in Norway in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Molde, Norway: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Norway are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Molde require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Norway is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Molde and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Molde, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Norway!

Passing a red light will result in a fine of approximately US$400. The same fine is charged for overtaking when it is not permitted. When choosing a place to park, drivers should also be careful because the fine for parking in the wrong place is not less than US$80.

Enjoying sights of Molde in cabriolet
One of the main activities of locals for several hundred years has been fishing. On the island of Hjertöyä, it is possible to visit a museum dedicated to this fishery. The variety of its exhibits is incredibly great, from the surviving examples of old fishing boats, to the various intricate devices that local fishermen used during the fishery a few hundred years ago.
On the market square of Molde, there is a very beautiful saxophonist sculpture made of bronze. This place is considered one of the most romantic in the city. Behind the bronze musician, there is a large observation deck with a wonderful view of the fjords and mountains. This monument was established in 1992. It became a gift to the city on the 250th anniversary. Now the beautiful monument reminds locals and tourists about the annual cultural event - the International Jazz Festival, which has been held in Molde for many years.

Walks on the Romsdal Peninsula, are very popular among visitors with children. On its territory is an interesting museum in the open air. It is stylized as an old fishing village. In each of the miniature wooden houses is hidden an interesting collection of exhibits. Here you can see items of antique utensils and national costumes, and also visit a nice fish restaurant or go fishing with a guide.
