We advise booking a cabriolet in Norway in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Oslo, Norway: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Norway are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Oslo require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Norway is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Oslo and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Oslo, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Norway!

Tunnels are another important feature of Norwegian roads. They are located throughout the country, and there are more than 1200 of them in total. Almost all the tunnels are well-lit, and some are even equipped with ventilation systems. Laerdalstunnelen is considered the longest tunnel in the country. Its length is 24.5 km.
In addition to petrol stations, small restaurants and shops, there are many attractive campgrounds and resorts along main roads. Drivers are welcome to rent a cozy house with a toilet, bathroom and kitchen for a night. The prices in these boarding houses are quite attractive.
Atlantic road remains one of the most popular tourist routes of the country. This is a two-lane highway that covers an archipelago of small islands, connected by small bridges. The road is located on the northern coast of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a perfect place for tourists who love outdoor activities and enjoy beautiful sea views.

Rental, parking and other info on Oslo - Gardermoen Airport
Oslo Airport is a main international air hub that serves the capital of Norway. The airport is the second in the passenger traffic among Scandinavian airports. Oslo Airport annually services about 28 million passengers. The airport is located in the city of Gardermoen, 35 km from the capital. On the airfield, there are two air-strips, one of which is used for maintaining heavy wide-body equipment. OSL serves as a base for the Royal Air Force of the country.

In the 50s of the last century, there was the military airfield of the Norwegian army in the territory where the airport is located now. Then, the airfield served as a military, as well as civil, airport for charters to Fornebu Airport. The new airport was opened here in 1998. Besides the passenger terminal, there is a VIP terminal here that services the members of the Royal family, cabinet members, and foreign governmental delegations. There is also a cargo terminal.

The railway links the airport with the city. Most of the passengers arriving at the airport catch Express Flytoget trains. The railway links OSL (the railway station is located below the passenger terminal) with Oslo Central Station. Near the airport, there are several European and national highways: E6, E16, #35, 174, 120. From the airport, buses run not only to Oslo, but also to other cities and ski resorts. The airport offers taxi services. Read all...
