Museum of the Romanian peasantry is surely among the most notable cultural institutions of the city. The museum was opened in 1906. Currently it exhibits the most valuable collection of handicrafts and art objects. A standalone collection of ceramic products has more than 18,000 items in it. Tourists who want to buy a memorable souvenir will find many interesting goods in a special shop opened in the museum.
