Singapore Flyer, Singapore

» The Singapore Flyer reaches a height of 55-storey building with a total height of 165 m.
» The Singapore Flyer is 30 m higher than the London Eye.
» The Singapore Flyer has been the world's tallest Ferris wheel until March 2014, when Las Vegas ride was put in action. It’s 2 meters higher than the Singapore Flyer.
» The wheel diameter is 150 m. The wheel itself is embedded in a three-story terminal building housing shops, bars and restaurants.
» Each of 28 air-conditioned cabins can accommodate 28 passengers.
» Full rotation of the wheel takes 28 minutes.

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

» Marina Bay Sands is the hotel and casino on the shore of Marina Bay in Singapore.
» The complex includes three 55-storey towers of 200 meters topped with a large terrace in a gondola that contains the pool and garden area of 12,400m2.
»  The hotel has 2,561 hotel rooms, an exhibition center, a museum, two large theaters, seven restaurants, and two ice rinks.
» The hotel was designed by architect Moshe Safdie, who was inspired by the deck of cards. Design of the hotel was approved by masters of Feng Shui.
» The hotel complex is situated in the city center at a distance of 3 kilometers from downtown.

Supreme Court, Singapore

» The Supreme Court building was completed in 2005. It’s fundamentally different from the old building constructed in Victorian style, as it represents modern high-tech style.
» The appearance of the new building has been thoroughly thought out in order to show the idea of transparency in the judicial system.
» That’s why the lining is of translucent Portuguese marble and the inner entrance, stairs and elevator shafts are constructed mainly of glass.
» Today the building houses 12 civil, 8 criminal, and 3 appellate courts.
» The Court of Appeal is located on the eighth floor of the building apparently executed in form of a disk. This architectural detail isn’t accidental. The disc towering over the building is a modern interpretation of the dome that decorates the Old Supreme Court, but also symbolizes the impartiality of the judiciary.

Victoria Theatre, Singapore

» The Victoria Theatre built in 1861 is the complex of buildings of the Concert Hall and Theatre.
» The Theatre consists of two buildings constructed in Victorian style 40 years one after another.
» These buildings are connected to each other with the clock tower; they are considered the most striking examples of colonial architecture in Singapore.
» In 1992, both buildings were awarded the status of a national monument to the country.
» Currently the theater and concert hall regularly host classical music concerts, dramatic and dance performances.
