The Kamchatka Peninsula is a location of the complex of amazing natural attractions. We are talking about the incredibly beautiful and powerful volcanoes of Kamchatka, whose appearance makes thousands of inquisitive tourists freeze in admiration. Surprisingly, after many years of research, it is still impossible to accurately determine the number of volcanoes located on the peninsula. According to some studies, there are more than a thousand of them. Volcanoes differ in form and size, and in the type of formation.
Some of Kamchatka's volcanoes are active, while others have died out millions of years ago. The largest in the complex of volcanoes is Klyuchevskaya Sopka, its height is 4750 meters above sea level. This volcano is the highest not only in Russia, but also throughout Eurasia, it is one of the 29 active volcanoes of the peninsula.
One of the most active is the Crimean volcano. Over the last hundred years it erupted more than 20 times. The last eruption of the volcano began in 1996 and lasted more than two years. A very interesting object is the Maly Semyachik volcano, which is a volcanic ridge with a length of more than 3000 meters. In its southern crater there is an unusual sour lake, the level of its mineralization is comparable with the average solution of sulfuric and hydrochloric acid. The Gorely volcano is differes in its complex form, including 11 craters. Each of the volcanoes of Kamchatka has its own unique features, and all together they form an amazing natural landscape, the likes of which exists nowhere in the world.
